Akra LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Akra Field mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information You Provide

• Account Information: Email address, name, company name, and role (Subcontractor, General Contractor, or Shop)

• Content You Create: Daily reports, notes, tasks, messages, T&M tickets, hot work permits, incident reports, and material requests

• Photos: Images you upload for documentation, messaging, or form attachments

Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: Device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers for push notifications

• Usage Data: App interactions and feature usage for improving functionality

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the App's functionality

• Enable communication between project team members

• Send push notifications for messages, tasks, and reminders

• Generate reports and documentation (PDF exports)

• Improve and optimize the App

DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

Your data is stored using Google Firebase, which provides industry-standard security measures including:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)

• Secure cloud storage

• Authentication protections

While we implement reasonable security measures, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

DATA SHARING

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

We may share your information:

• With other users on your project (as necessary for App functionality)

• With service providers who assist in operating the App (Firebase, Expo)

• If required by law or to protect our legal rights

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase: Database, file storage, and authentication

• Expo: Push notification delivery

These services have their own privacy policies governing their use of your data.

YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to:

• Access your personal information

• Correct inaccurate information

• Request deletion of your account and data

• Opt out of push notifications through your device settings

ACCOUNT DELETION AND DATA RETENTION

You may delete your account from within the App by going to Settings and selecting Delete Account, or by contacting us at support@getakra.com.

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. When your account is deleted, we permanently remove personal data associated with your account, including your profile information, personal notes, personal photos, saved signature, and authentication account.

Certain job, safety, compliance, and operational records you contributed may be retained because they are shared project records or may be needed for legal, safety, compliance, audit, dispute, or operational purposes. When retained, these records are anonymized so they are no longer linked to your account and display as Deleted User where applicable.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The App is intended for use by adults (18 years or older) in professional construction settings. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 years of age.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
